Lichfield District Council website - The main Lichfield District Council website, featuring a Flickr feed on the homepage, which shows user contributed images from the Lichfield District group. We also have a county news section, which shows the latest news from Staffordshire County Council, they don't have an RSS feed, so we built one ourselves.

Planning

Our Planning section has a Google Map of the latest planning applications added to the site, and an online form where users can sign up to recieve alerts of planning applications in their area (thanks to the good people at planningalerts.com). There is also an RSS feed and Twitter users can follow our ldcplanning Twitter account.

Food Safety

 

We are also the lead authority on a project called Ratemyplace, which publishes food safety star ratings online, we currently have 7 Staffordshire authorities on board and hope to branch out in the new year. We have an API, so partner councils and members of the public can use our data via XML and we also have a mobile service at www.ratemyplace.mobi (an iPhone optimised version can be found at www.ratemyplace.mobi/iphone)
